U.S. Sen. Mike Braun of Indiana will visit Purdue University’s Davis Agricultural Center on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.

The Purdue Davis Agricultural Center (DPAC) consists of 703 acres in northwestern Randolph and southwestern Jay counties, including 522 tillable acres and 100 managed forested acres (known as the Herbert Davis Forestry Farm). Martha Davis donated the original farm to Purdue University in 1917 in memory of her son. Researchers at DPAC study a wide range of issues, including soil fertility, crop diseases, weed control, insect problems and controlled drainage and drainage water analysis.

Braun serves on the U.S. Senate Committee on Agriculture, Nutrition and Forestry as well as committees on budget; environment and public works; health, education, labor and pensions; and the special committee on aging.
