Vantage Canada will acquire Trimble dealership rights and assets from Premier Equipment Ltd. in Ontario. This move is the completes Vantage’s nationwide portfolio in its efforts to position the new Vantage Canada entity, which will operate from a head office in Calgary. It will offer specialized sales and services across the country, including in Ontario.
Customers will continue to have access to Trimble’s suite of precision ag and water management solutions, as well as Trimble’s team of experts. Vantage Canada will provide technical expertise, agronomy services, field data solutions, water management and support capabilities for farm and tile drainage operations.
Jeff Bilow, GM of Vantage Canada, said in a statement that the acquisition allows Vantage to extend its water management and precision ag expertise to contractors and landowners in Ontario. “We are committed to helping customers find the right technology solutions that best meet their needs and to provide a high level of support and training to help our customers realize the full benefit of their precision ag investments across the country.”
For its part, Premier Equipment says going forward it will remain focused its John Deere portfolio of precision ag technology. “[We] trust that the transition of our Trimble portfolio of products and services… will be beneficial to our traditional Trimble customers,” said Allan Dueck, co-CEO of Premier Equipment.
