Van Buren Conservation District receives $413,000 grant to reduce runoff

The Great Lakes Restoration Initiative awarded the Van Buren Conservation District in Michigan a $413,000 grant to help prevent runoff into waterways.
The funds will be used to reduce nutrient runoff in Pine and Mill Creeks, which are both tributaries of the Paw Paw River, by offering cost-sharing to farmers looking to adopt new practices like cover crops, reduced tillage, among other conservation measures. | READ MORE
