Survey: USDA wants input on irrigation and water management

The USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service (NASS) has added an additional online survey to its 2022 Census of Agriculture. The 2023 Irrigation and Water Management Survey seeks producer input on activities including irrigation and other water management techniques across farms, ranches and horticultural operations. The goal of the survey is to aid in the USDA’s efforts to promote sustainability of water resources across the U.S.

Online survey codes were mailed out recently, with paper questionnaires coming in January. Responses, whether on paper or online, are due Feb. 15.
