Profile: Gregor Tiling in Minnesota Lake

The Faribault County Register profiled Mark Gregor of Gregor Tiling in Minnesota Lake, MN describing how tiling has changed since Gregor started his business in 1993.

“People joke and say all you have to know about installing tile is that water runs downhill,” Gregor is quoted saying. “But there is a lot more to it than that.” Gregor explains how installing tile today involves GPS and laser sights and, for some soils in the area, narrower spacing than before.

Some of the challenges his team runs into are wet installation conditions, tight installation windows, old field tile, and low agriculture commodity prices that impact the tile drainage business.
