Alberta producer finds tile worth the cost
Costs of up to $1.20 per foot means tiling makes the most sense in areas of Alberta with substantial rainfall, according to Jason Lenz, who operates a mixed farm near Bentley, AB. Since installing his tile drainage system nearly 30 years ago, Lenz says he has regained between five and 10 percent of productive farmland — and easily earned back his investment.
