New South Carolina site will bolster ADS’ retail capabilities

Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS) has officially selected a warehouse site in Greer, South Carolina to service retail stores in the southeast.

The warehouse, which will be managed by DHL, is expected to open in February with 45 employees.

ADS specializes in water management solutions for construction, agriculture and road projects. With nearly 900 retail and hardware stores in the southeast region, ADS has decided a warehouse presence in this region would be beneficial. Brian King, EVP of product management and marketing for ADS, said in a statement that ADS did consider other sides in South Carolina, as well as Georgia. Ultimately, he says, Greer was chosen because of South Carolina’s favourable conditions, including being close to the center of its retail business in the southeast.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
