Local program helping farmers battle soil erosion, drainage issues

Bernie Kottelenberg, a dairy, hog and grain producer in Hillsburgh, Ont., built a drainage system to halt soil erosion at the edge of his field, and designed a tank to capture manure and keep it from leaking into the water system.
He is one of a number of local farmers taking part in Credit Valley Conservation’s (CVC) rural water quality program, which provides professional and financial assistance to help farmers improve the soil on their property. | READ MORE
