Likely extent of agricultural drainage tool tutorial
September 2, 2022 By Bree Rody
A free, online web-mapping application available on the Transforming Drainage website identifies agricultural areas that are likely to have been drained based on soil and land cover information. Very poorly to poorly drained soils in agricultural land use are classified as “likely” to be drained as they are assumed to have at least some artificial drainage installed, while somewhat poorly drained soils are identified as “potentially drained.”
The below instructional video on how to use and apply this software is a part of the Transforming Drainage Media Library in conjunction with National Institute of Food and Agriculture, U.S. Department of Agriculture.
