Discussion: Transforming Drainage project

Chris Hay, senior environmental research scientist with the Iowa Soybean Association (ISA), discussed the Transforming Drainage project at this year’s ISA research conference, which seeks to address important management questions through assessment and development of new agricultural drainage technologies.

According to Hay, the project is advancing three practices–controlled drainage, drainage water recycling and saturated buffers–for storing water in the landscape.
