How biochar can solve the issue of nutrient runoff

New research from Texas A&M AgriLife and Tarleton State University could help solve a key issue in agricultural drainage: allowing fertilizer to stay on crops, where it belongs, instead of seeping into waterways.

Scientists from both parties will work together to develop and demonstrate a biochar-assisted phytoremediation system, enhancing the quality of water used during application.
