Drainage Contractor

Features Contractor at Work GroundBreakers
Groundbreakers series: Adam Fisher

July 11, 2022  By Bree Rody

From a young age, growing up with a father who worked as a contractor, Adam Fisher has always had a fascination with drainage infrastructure – and a passion for doing things the right way. Since creating his first Ditch Doctor prototype, Fisher has made his life about just that. “Working with my father is what instilled the knowledge of the importance of draining the land and how to maintain it efficiently and effectively,” says Fisher.

His goal with the Ditch Doctor, an excavator attachment used to create, restore and maintain ditches, is for it to become the “go-to” method for maintaining infrastructure. In this GroundBreakers episode, Fisher discusses why maintaining drainage infrastructure is so important – and the various challenges facing contractors, farmers and more.
