Funding fact sheet: Stuttgart council accepts bid for multi-million dollar drainage project

ARKANSAS | Stuttgart City Council accepted a bid for an incoming local drainage project, part of a multi-million dollar drainage and street repair plan. There was only one bid submitted for the project, which came to $1.03 million, with an alternate bid of $920,440. This was above the estimated amount due to a low estimation of the price of concrete. It was recommended that the council approve the alternate bid, which the council approved in a vote of three to two.

Last fall, the city approved $13.2 million for the drainage project.
