New drainage district

TEXAS | Cameron County residents have voted to create a new drainage district. A sixth district will consist of the small city of La Feria and the town of Santa Rosa. Previously, the two municipalities were an irrigation district, meaning water goes into the area for agriculture. Now, as a drainage district, water will be directed out.
