Drainage Contractor‘s inaugural North American Drainage Conference, held March 5 via Zoom, reached more than 100 viewers, more than 75 percent of whom viewed the event live.
Originally intended as an in-person conference in Michigan, the North American Drainage Conference pivoted to a virtual event in order to meet the growing demands for accessible conference material with limited travel required. As such, viewers tuned in from across Canada, the U.S., Great Britain and Australia. Those viewers were eligible to obtain up to three continuing education credits with Certified Crop Advisor.
The event featured speakers Eileen Kladivko, Ehsan Ghane, Matt Helmers, Ruijie Zeng, Kaiyu Guan and Jacob Handsaker. Topics included the relationships of drainage and yield, decision support tools to inform drainage design, drainage outlet redesign and more.
