A decade of water restoration and protection in New York state

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation recounted milestone events from the past decade that worked toward protecting New York’s water supply and quality.
Since 2010, New York state has passed the Nutrient Runoff Law, the Sewage Pollution Right to Know Act, and developed a $5-million Long Island Nitrogen Action Plan. The state also invested $2.5 billion in the Clean Water Infrastructure Act and invested $65 million to combat algal blooms in upstate New York. | READ MORE
